Block of the Month

www.craftsy.com has a Block of the Month challenge with videos that keep showing me new things. This month I learned a new way to do half square triangle, although this method does leave bias edges to deal with.

You know I'm not a traditional quilter. Every month I've made is a different size! They will go into a charity quilt at some point.

Block of the Month

http://craftsy.com  Is where you can sign up for a free class to learn two blocks every month. I rarely do traditional work but have learned some things from watching the video, so I did January's blocks. I don't remember the names. For the upper right, I learned how to determine the amount of the strip to leave at the beginning, so that the corner comes out correctly and no fabric is wasted.

Block of the Month, Postcard

The http://calendargirls2008.blogspot.com exchange from Neki came, and she included this beautiful, silky handwoven piece she's done. The card has lots of dimension in the circle and is so much fun. I decided to do the Block of the Month that Terri Stegmiller posts at www.twocreativestudios.com Here is September--done in October. Here is October actually finished the last day of October.
Traditional is a real stretch for me, but I though these plus this month's might make a good table runner for a Christmas gift.
