Stitchery

When we lived in S. California, I had a business partner who taught silk painting. She didn't sew and gave me  her samples when she needed to get rid of some. This is one that I always liked and wanted to add stitching too. I finally did. Now I need your help. It's 16" by 11", and I don't know what to make from the piece.
It looks good folded in half for a book cover. It's nice as is for a hanging. The problem with a hanging is finding fabrics to go with it. A purse comes to mind.

Here is the detail. Any suggestions?

It is definitely a gorgeous piece of fabric and I like the stitching you've added. I think I would find it hard to decide what to make with it as well.

I have no suggestions. Sorry. But I love the piece and will be interested to see what you do with it.

Sandy maybe it would look nice in a frame.
I have seen pieces of commercial fabric framed and it looks fabulous so I think this may be an answer for you.

It would make a gorgeous book cover but maybe it's too nice for that so I agree with Doreen to frame it.

what a beautiful piece of fabric and your stitching makes it even that much more. I think it would look great on the wall.

A girl can't have too many purses...besides...a purse will make that piece a walking art show!

I think if I had that gorgeous fabric I might make it into a scarf. Of course it isn't large enough on it's own but what about using it as a wide border around a coordinating solid?
