Happy Holidays to everyone regardless of what you celebrate.

I have a sketchbook that I put things in when I see a new technique. It is a place to save the idea for a time that I want to use it in something.
This shows using motifs off napkins. They really have beautiful parts even if it is sometimes a challenge to figure out how to isolate the bit you want to use.

In this one I tore through a page to show the photo on the page before it. It's the negative of the mushroom photo I took years ago and keep going back to use. The torn window seemed more in keeping with mushrooms than a nicely cut one would.

Here is an interesting edge created by using a rubber stamp along the edge and then cutting along the stamped lines. Not all stamps work.

I'm looking forward to taking part in  When I work in a sketchbook, I enjoy it and like to look back at what I did, but I need the push.

Happy Holidays to you too! I have been following your blog for a while but I don't think I've commented before. I thought it was about time I said hello! I think your sketch book is lovely.
