Here are some more samplers on black. The feather stitch is one I love, because it looks like something from nature. The cretan is so easy to manipulate and get unusual shapes.
I need to make a book or something with all these "pages".
I won't be able to blog for a while but will be back as soon as possible.

I agree that you do need to make a book of the samples. They are so colourful against the black and will no doubt provide you with some inspiration for a larger piece along the way. It would be a shame if they got 'mislaid' as so many class samples can do.

I agree Sandy - you must make these black stitch samples into a book - what a super way of keeping such a gorgeous reference! It will have to have a special gorgeous cruncy black cover though, with lots of beaded areas, won't it?

These are all very cool Sandy. I especially like that stitch on the second piece sort of in the middle that looks like a flower. Putting these all into a book is a great idea.
