I can see why you didn't want to cut this fabric up before but this is so cool. It looks like the bottom of a stream with the pebbles glistening under the water and some of the rocks pocking their little heads out. I find this very calming and peaceful. Love it.
As a batik freak, I can appreciate not wanting to cut up your fabric. It's really hard sometimes. Love this piece. Just goes to show that you don't need to cover a page in beads.

This is beautiful! You have done a great job on this fabric.
Very pretty piece. It does remind me of a small pebble walkway or bubbles. The embroidery on it is a very nice way of making it more 3-d. Nice colors
Wow Sandy this is a beautiful piece.
Wow! This is like an ink-blot test in a psychiatrist's office... Hmmmm, what do you see here? Free associating... water, bubbles, stream, swimming, nude, plant life, rocks, sunshine, playful, peaceful, complet, soft, belly-button, flow, dew... Fun, huh?! Wonderful use of your precious batik! Sandy, this is wonderful. This fabric was just waiting for a special project like this.
This is a beautiful, meditative piece. It conveys a picture of damp stones to me that I would like to walk on.(Although I imagine that your journal page is too small for even only one of my big feet, and anyway, it would be a shame to walk over it.)

This is great, gives me a sense of being by the ocean, or by a tide pool.
This is really eye catching. the movement in this piece is spectacular! I love the beaded touches and the fabric too. Lovely!
