Class Projects, Tagged

I've been tagged by Carol L http://carollenthall.blogspot.com/ to tell 7 things about myself.

1. Tagging helps me find new artists as I visit the others who are tagged.

2. I love my computer but find it to be one of the most frustrating things when it doesn't do what I expect-operator error only part of the time.

3. I'm very patient when I teach but have no patience for people who won't at least try things.

4. I love all animals especially dogs.

5. I reviewed fiber books for about 15 years and have a great library. It was one of my favorite jobs.

6. I love to take classes. That can't be much of a surprise to my readers.

7. I raced sports cars when I met my husband. 3 of us wives/sweethearts raced in our own class.

I'm taking a class from Judy Skeel at http://www.joggles.com/ on using UTEE Ultrathick Embossing Powder. The black piece was done on a molding mat. The top right is on glass, and the other two on beach glass.
Here the Utee has been used to frame photos encased in glass and a CD piece. It also can be molded. It's been an interesting class, and Judy is a good teacher.

Tagged, gifts

First, I'd like to thank everyone for the comments. Some of you I can't find a way to answer, and some of you leave a comment several posts ago, and I miss it, sorry. Comments are what makes blogging fun.

I've been tagged by Arline http://sharedstuffbyarline.blogspot.com/ to answer 6 questions, so here they are:

1. What was I doing 6 years ago?

Pretty much what I'm doing now. We were already living our dream of being in the country

surrounded by trees and each having a nice space to work in.

2. What are 5 things I need to do today?

Errands-ugh, time away from the Studio, but at least one stop is a fabric store.

Work on the Bead Journal Project book.

Work on the Felting Class samples.

Make muffins to go with the soup for dinner. This "spring" is cold!

Do my computer work. I have a tough life, don't I.

3. What snacks do I enjoy?

Chocolate

Fruit

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire.

Help my kids and set up a fund for my grandchildren.

Build a paint studio.

Build a plant room.

5. Places I've lived.

I was born in New York City.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Gresham and Portland, Oregon

Tracy and Moorpark, California

Vancouver and La Center, Washington

6. People I want to know more about. All the wonderful blogging artists out there!!!!

The quiltie is from Liz with a theme of Fantasy. It certainly fits the theme. I'm very pleased with it and enjoy the Unlimited Textiles Group. The postcard is from Carol T http://postcards-and-stuff.blogspot.com for the Calendar Girls group. She's done a very unique card by recycling-one of my favorite things. It is very nice.

Tagged

Arline tagged me to tell 7 things about me, so....
1. I live in the woods and love it. I'm more of a doer than a social person.
2. I love to experiment and haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up-never will grow up. This is too much fun.
3. I can't seem to focus on just one technique and have probably 20 things going at the same time.
4. Blogging and computers groups have become very important. I'm learning so much.
5. I was born in New York City but left early and am a westerner at heart.
6. I raced sports cars when I met my husband. When I wrecked his baby(car), and he ran to me to see if I was OK, my roommates knew it was true love. Over 43 years ago, so it took.
7. I love animals and wanted to be a vet until I realized that I would be crying over every sick one and attacking every abusive owner.
I'm not going to tag anyone, because there are too many that I enjoy.
