When we first saw Billy 5 months ago, he was hiding in the corner of the kennel and shaking. He was dirty and smelly, so the first order of business was a bath.
Now he seems to be very relaxed and self confident. I think he likes it here. This is his favorite resting position. He sleeps that way next to our bed and even will chew on a toy in this position-must be part cat.

I gather you found him at an animal asylum? Who knows what he lived through before you adopted this sweet creature. Obviously, the happiness is on both sides.
In dog body language, this position in your presence means he is safe and feels no threat. He is a happy pooch!!
He does look very contented - obviously happy with his situation with you.
