The tree is one I drew and have used for a big quilt and as part of a grief series. I really like trees and leaves and wanted to use it again. The background is painted on white pimatex using Jacquard paints.

I've machined the background and stitched running stitch by hand on the tree. I think I'd like to use it as the focal point in a larger quilt but will probably have to paint the fabric which means waiting for warmer weather.

I like it Sandy, I too do a fair amount with trees. I guess it's the organic look I'm drawn to.
it looks good
It's beautiful, Sandy. I like the simplicity, and it does say something about grief, IMO.
Great tree. I draw bare trees a lot, but I don't know why. One of these days, I'll take it further.
It's lovely. I really like the effect of the painted background.
Love the silhouette of the tree against the painted background.
This is wonderful Sandy.e
