For February the piece is a section of a leaf with ice running down it. We have had an unusual amount of snow this winter for the Pacific NW, so it influenced my thinking. I've been home most of the time, because our hill gets bad weather even if the rest of the area doesn't.
The pailettes are held on with beads. The bugles and other beads echo the path water and ice follow as they drip/slide down the leaf.

very nice Sandy
I love the simple beauty of this piece... the way it can be either a lovely geometric design or representational as you intend.
You probably have more snow and ice than on San Juan Island, but we live 500 ft. up on a ridge where the sun doesn't melt our steep driveway and the road at the top of the hill. I know how it is to feel housebound. However, spring does seem to be peeking around the corner!
I love the way you have interpreted this piece Sandy
This is a lovely page, Sandy . . .

This piece is beautiful. Great inspiration; I'm taking a beading on Friday.
Great idea. I can just see the water running off a leaf, going this way and that. Being in the desert I'd love to see a leaf dripping like that. (Actually, we've had a few good rains this winter which is great considering the drought we've been in and we REALLY enjoyed them)!
