Bead Journal Project

This started with the thick and thin thread that I needle felted to a felted wool background. Then I used a metallic thread to machine the circles. It had been a while since I worked a piece with the rattail cord couched in place, and the circles seemed to ask for it.
The glass circles are first glued in place with Diamond Glaze and then beaded around using back stitch. I also added beads along the cording.

This continual unusual rain is getting very depressing for everyone. The garden is rotting. I'm working in dark colors.

It may be dark but it's very effective!

Gosh I love this. I like how so many on the BJP are working with fibers, of course you are a fiber queen, so definitely inspiring.

This is so wonderful, so much "flow" to this piece. That's my favorite element to achieve!

I'm probably sharing your weather so I understand about the *dark*. Still, this piece is WONDERFUL and I adore the colors! Aside from my current addiction to needle felting, I really love your minimal use of beads - the ones you've chosen seem to add exactly what's needed.

A stitching masterpiece!

I like the colors, very fall. Very nice repetition with the circles. It feels very natural and flowing.

Not that there is a real relation, but it reminds me of the Lascaux Cave Paintings.

very earthy. I textures are great, I would really like to touch it. No rain here, but lots of fog.

Sandy, you piece is just so lush! I'm sure that it feels just as good as it looks. Yummy free motion work as well. Circles/pebbles/rocks are my favourite stitch patterns.

Dark colors, sad garden, dark weather... but gorgeous piece! I love the texture and the circles.

The words "completion" and "flowing" come to mind when I look at this piece. Is there anything like that going on in your life?
