This month for Unlimited Textiles the theme is Kandinsky. I don't like all his art but do like the geometric pieces, so that's what I worked from.

The background is wool and the appliques are Ultrasuede. A leather needle really helps when trying to sew Ultrasuede.

oooh I really like this, love the shapes and the colors.
Fun, bold shapes. We did a fused glass project with 1st graders last year based on Kandinsky - very cool results!
I must start taking more interest in my groups again Sandy. That was very interesting, so I'll go and have a look at Unlimited Textiles now.
This is a really effective piece.
