The February journal quilt for http://www.beadjournalproject.com/ just had to be red. I attached the lace, stitched over the seams, used metallic, and then beads.

Of course it needs to be red(!) and I love the result! I've been learning some stitches lately, and I don't think it's my thing, but it surely works well in your piece. Lovely stitching and beading!
