Quilt

http://www.threecreativestudios.com/ has a quilt challenge every other month. The latest challenge was the word Passage. I added an s and came up with Passages.
The photos are of gates and doors I took in Germany and transferred to fabric. They are strip pieced and machine quilted. Every time I tried to embellish the hanging, it said no. All my tries detracted from the photos.

I love your quilt! I am a huge collector of gates and doorways and your photos are wonderful. This time I really think that You are right Less is more, no embellishment required!!!!

This is beautiful, Sandy, and just inspired me to do a piece around Italian doors I photographed in 2007.

Very Cool, Sandy! I like the whole concept. It really doesn't need any embellishment.

This is awesome Sandy, I really like the colors in this quilt. I think you're right in this case with the embellishments - less is definitely more and it really doesn't need anything.

This looks wonderful Sandy. The colors and shapes all work well together. A great way to show some photography from your trip.

That's funny Sandy "the quilt said no". Sometimes we just have to listen. Love the doorways. Justine
