For April's Bead Journal Project I used another fused glass piece from a friend. The background is felted and Machine quilted with a metallic thread is rough rectangles to echo the shape of the glass. The glass is surrounded by seed beads and in the last row Delicas to hold it in place. The random sized/styled beads seemed to need to be in a rectangle too.

This is gorgeous Sandy!
I love it, Sandy. I have a beautiful piece of fused glass that used to be a bolo tie, that's been wanting to be used on a quilted piece. You've ignited my inspiration to do this!
I also enjoy using beads to fasten things like this fused glass piece. The theme of the entire piece as it echoes the glass is lovely!
Nice use of the dichroic, Sandy. I really like this one.
Oh I really like this piece Sandy, the stitching the colors, everything about it is fab.
It's beautiful Sandy - colours & the way the design elements echo each other.
Oh Sandy, I have lost track of you this year. Im so glad I found you because I just love your work. You use so many different mediums-all my favorites. Fabrics, beads, quilting. Oh man I just feel a vibration when I look at your work. The colors are so intense. Off topic-I see you take on line classes and Ive thought of taking one. Does it work well for you? Julie Cook
All the parts of this come together beautifully, Sandy!!! I love it when felt, quilting, fancy glass and little seed beads join to make such an elegant design statement! Bravo!

Another piece of yours that I love! Especially the way the stitching echos the shape of the cabachon, how clever. Every time I visit to look at your BJPs I get lost in all your other posts and projects, you are so creative!
