Quilt


I had a damask linen piece that had probably been a tablecloth. Sometime in the past, I spray dyed it. Circles seemed to go with it, so I applied Ultrasuede ones on it thinking that the edges wouldn't fray and nothing would need to be done to them. Wrong. To punch up the design, I hand stitched around them. Leather needles are the way to go with Ultrasuede. The stitching on the linen was much easier.



The detail shows the echo quilting. That seems to be my method for art quilts right now. It's about 40" by 28".
