Quilt, Felt

I always hated the business end of things. I just want to create and have decided that I can do what I want. Now I need to find good homes for the many pieces I have. Family have many pieces and don't seem to use or display them.

Take a Stitch Tuesday
French Knot is this week's stitch from Sharon at http://pintangle.com
It's the perfect stitch to accent areas in Crazy Quilt.

I could do all this experimenting on my own but would I? Thanks for the push and excuse to do it Sharon.

Quilt

Thanks to everyone who reads my blog and especially to those who comment. Now with the two words to type in to prove you're not a robot, it's a lot more trouble. I tend to have trouble with some of the letters. They look like several possibilities.

There is both hand and machine stitching on it. The supplies were mostly a kit, but I had some white silk hankies and colored them with Dynaflow paint. It worked very well. Some parts were hard to hand stitch, some weren't depending on the thickness of the area.

Quilt
This is created from a 7 patch block I designed using Electric Quilt 7. It's so easy to try out designs in that program.
It's made from batiks and hand dyes and quilted in a spiral-enought to make you dizzy, as I do it with the presser foot on once the circle is big enough and just keep turning the quilt.

Bead Journal Project

The cuff is roving felted to a piece of wool felt using the Embellisher. I do block it with lots of steam and the iron. The machine quilting is with metallic thread.

I felt like playing with batiks and decided to do a wonky 9 patch. I like to arrange colors on the design wall and just relax. This is lap quilt size and will go to a nursing home in our area at Christmas.
Because I thought it would be cozy to have a fluffier batting, that's what I used-never again. It was a challenge to quilt even just doing the wavy lines. The batting did have cotton in and is ready to put in several more charity quilts.
